Which songs from the first three Flecktone albums would you like to see played this November when the original four Flecktones hit the road together for the first
time in over 15 years?

will be given to a member of the Flecktone crew with hopes that we can persuade them to bust out a few of the most requested songs.
Also, if you haven't heard, the tour is just over a month away. They start off in Europe in early November and they bring it back to the states to finish it up

2009 Fall/Winter Tour Dates (and some exciting news)

Bela Fleck shared some bad and some good news with us last week. Jeff Coffin will apparently be busy during the first part of this year's
fall/winter tour. This means he will not be joining the Flecktones for the dates in November. However, Jeff will return in December
to finish out the tour.
Now, worry not my fellow Fleckheads, with this news, Bela also shared some of the most
exciting news we've had in a long time. Since Jeff will be unavailable, they contacted a good friend to come along and fill
in. Howard Levy, the tall, thin Flecktone, will rejoin Bela, Vic, and Futch this November for what is sure to be an exciting
reunion!
So, don't miss a chance to see the original four Flecktones as they intended to be seen over 20 years ago when this wonderful
ride began!

Grammy Winners!

The Flecktones picked up their 5th Grammy as a group last night with a win in category #10:
Best Pop Instrumental Album. The Flecktones' first holiday album, "Jingle all the Way", beat out
Gerald Albright, Larry Carlton, Earl Klugh, and Spyro Gyra for the award.

Spring Touring

It's going to be a busy spring for the Flecktones as they begin another hiatus to work on solo projects.
Vic has plans to tour with J.D. Blair.
Bela will be at the Presidential Inauguration with Wynton Marsalis, the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra
and other special guests. Plus he'll be touring with the Sparrow Quartet, and also to support his new album that
should hit stores sometime in February.
Jeff
has officially announced the he will be joining the Dave Matthews Band starting with the spring '09 tour.

Grammy Nominations, Holiday Gift Packages, and TV appearances!

Lots of news lately from the Flecktones.
Just last week, the Grammy nominations were announced
and, again, the Flecktones find themselves with two nominations.
The first nomination is for their holiday album, "Jingle All the Way" in the Best Pop Instrumental Album category.
The second nomination is for the track "Sleigh Ride" (from the same album) in the Best Country Instrumental Performance category.
The 51st Annual Grammy Awards will take place on Feburary 8th, 2009. Click

Also, as you know the Flecktones first holiday album of their 20 year career was released this past Septemeber. In preparation for the
